The Objectives of SBBA shall be:

a) To foster, promote and regulate youth basketball in the Tantramar region and surrounding areas as approved by Basketball New Brunswick.

b) To ensure, insofar as is reasonably practical, that any area youth under the age of 15 years, who is able and wishes to play basketball, will be afforded the opportunity to participate in the applicable age division. Age cut-off date is 31 December for determining eligibility.

c) To affiliate with Basketball New Brunswick, abide by its Constitution and remain a member in good standing.

d) To fund, administer and operate youth basketball in the area.

e) To liaise and/or participate with with the Recreation Department or area municipalities, the educational authorities and other interested community recreation organizations, in the promotion of goodwill towards amateur basketball and its development towards maximum participation.

f) To maintain the highest degree of sportsmanship with the priority emphasis on the molding of our youth as better citizens through play and teamwork.

g) To allow our youth to participate in basketball at, when possible, we will have competitive teams

h) The Association will carry on without pecuniary gain to its' Members and any funds accrued to the Association shall be used in promoting its' objectives.
